motability

hello
a disabled friend of mine is insisting that i should drive him and his son to turkey in his motability car.
my question is that are we allowed to bring motability car into turkey.
he says the motability people say there is no problem as they will give him the papers to show that he is allowed to take the vehicle out of turkey but, will the turkish authorities accept this.?
has anyone done this before?or know someone who has done this?

Welcome to TLF.

Perhaps this link will be of help: http://www.motability.co.uk/cars-and...our-car-abroad

"What countries can I take my car on holiday to?
You can take your Scheme car abroad within the European Union and to Croatia, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland and Liechtenstein free of charge, up to 90 days in any 12 month period. It is important to request and remember to pack your VE103 certificate, which confirms you can use your Motability car while abroad and is valid for 12 months. You can request this by calling 0800 731 3310."

Re: motability

hmmm
i have seen people here talking about the cost of insurance and petrol and road charges when taking their vehicle abroad but, how about break down cover as far as i know nobody ever bothered about it.
but can you afford to take a car abroad with a disabled person without a break down cover?
think about it too.
