Monarch

Monarch has just increased their luggage allowance from 20 to 23 kilos and on the way back from turkey the allowance is 26 kilos. Nice.

I must say, that hold-all does look as if it has had some explosions in or near it. I'm surprised the airline does not keep hold of it for some serious tests. It looks a bit worrying to me.

Hmmm. Chest infection due to the stress. Lost jewellery in hold luggage. Sounds like she wants to milk it for all its worth

re: Monarch

The last time we used Monarch from Gatwick they returned us by diversion to Luton on the feeble excuse that there was a weather problem at Gatwick. It was August, really warm, and they bussed us back from Luton to Gatwick on a coach with the heating going full blast. The driver couldn't turn it off so after we all got stroppy he had to drive with the door open.
Basically, as Luton is the company HQ, they just wanted to get the plane and staff back, sod the paying passengers. We decided that would be the last time we used them as we still had a long drive back to Wales after going back to Gatwick. Spoilt a lovely break..

Hmmm. Chest infection due to the stress. Lost jewellery in hold luggage. Sounds like she wants to milk it for all its worth

Perhaps, but it still doesn't explain the state of the bag. Would you be happy? Personally I would be incandescent.

I saw an example of milking bit last week .A foreign article backed into a car ( basically right in front of me ) .The car driver /young guy called the police .I looked at his car and saw slight small dent .I said to the young driver he has done hardly any damage .He looked at me and said with a big smile my neck hurts.

The situation is that doctors can't prove that you are faking it. so it is easy money.

I just think it is oddd and more to the story than meets the eye. Lets wait and see if there are other passengers. Would be strange if only one bag was so badly damaged
