Working remotely form home in Turkey

Does anyone on here work in Turkey on their computer for a job based in UK? How does it work are there any pitfalls I should be aware of? Is it even possible?

Re: Working remotely form home in Turkey

I am not sure that it is a good idea to admit to this in an open Forum. It is a bit of a grey area as regards work permits go.

Re: Working remotely form home in Turkey

I know a couple of people who have done this. They are not seen as obviously working, so it has never been an issue with authorities.

You will need to get a good Internet connection (speeds vary enormously - even by being the wrong side of the street) and, I would suggest, a reliable VPN service - probably a paid-for service will be best, to hide your activities completely.

Do you still need a Residents Permit to get an ADSL line?
