Thomas Cook

Things are looking less than rosy for TC.

Manchester Airport: Flight cancellations and delays amid fuel problem https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan...ester-48330568

And this won’t help any airline.

Re: Thomas Cook

We've seen it all before. . . we received our flight tickets for an Excel Airways flight to Antalya 24hrs before it collapsed. Eventually got a refund from the CAA and found another flight.
We were in Turkey with Turkish Delight Holidays when it collapsed, and were flown home together with many of the holiday company reps in tears. (That dates us!)
We're still here, still travelling. . .
TC is supposed to take us home end of July, someone will get us back, somehow. Thank goodness for insurance.

VILLASUNDAY will become famous soon enough
Re: Thomas Cook

I flew back at the end of July with Sun Express. When I got to the airport there were lots of Thomas Cook staff, they had booked lots of people on the Sun Express flight & made a big mess of it. Loads of people weren't on the computer when they went to check in

Re: Thomas Cook

I think TC should approach the Turkish tourism to see if the Turkish government will buy them out. TC not flying to Turkey will effect their economy greatly and will effect a lot of Hotels and tourist businesses.......

Theoretically this should reduce competition leading to existing operators increasing profits by increasing prices.
