Flying to Bodrum

Just wondering whether anyone has flown from the UK to Turkey recently (or made the return trip) and has any good or bad experiences to share.

Having had three previous trips cancelled this year I'm hopeful of traveling out to Bodrum in 3 1/2 weeks and would be interested in finding out what's what at the airport, in flight etc.

Re: Flying to Bodrum

Flew from Edinburgh to bodrum on Wednesday 26/8/20
Airport was fairly quiet and only some shops, restaurants open but enough to get food, drinks, duty free.
Flight was nearly full, everyone wearing masks, drinks and food served on board.
We arrived at 10 pm in Bodrum and duty free was open.
Everything as usual except for people wearing masks

Re: Flying to Bodrum

We flew from Manchester to Bodrum on 9 August. The flight was full and we all had face masks. Everything is open and unless you go into supermarkets or use public transport you can easily forget about Covid. We fly back tonight unfortunately so I'm unable to let you know what it is like coming back into UK. Enjoy your stay.

Re: Flying to Bodrum

The flight was just like any Easy jet flight except you were constantly reminded to wear your mask covering nose and mouth. If you didn't the stewards had authority to cancel your return flight there and then. The refreshment trolley was cards only,no cash. The flight was pretty full with very few empty seats. I was not worried.....mainly because I couldn't do anything about it. Couldn't use the overhead lockers and only 1 smaller size bag to fit under the seat in front of you. Some people tried bringing on board normal size hand luggage which was rejected and had to go into the hold.

Re: Flying to Bodrum

On flight from Edinburgh your hand luggage was taken from you at baggage area, you were only allowed small bag that fitted under seat but saw quite a few people using overhead storage for bags. We were told to store bags under seat except for specific rows that were at exits but no one seemed to bothered about enforcing this. They did keep telling people to keep their masks on. It was card only for any purchases.

Re: Flying to Bodrum

We flew lgw...bjv on 16 aug , automated check in , flight luggage in overhead lockers was ok , cards only for trolley , masks on...no problems at all...row by row disembarkation .

Great flight

Steve
