Goldtrail up to the usual tricks
I have just received my tickets supposedly for the Monarch flight leaving at 8pm Sunday night 1st October and I am now not taking off until 7.45am Monday 2nd and now with crappy Onur Air. I have lost my lift on the Sunday now as everyone is working Monday so it is an extra £80 for airport parking and they do not give a toss. As the change is less than 12 hours (by 15 mins!) they can get away with it.
This is not the first problem we have had with goldtrail and I am not using them again.

Re: Goldtrail up to the usual tricks
We flew out with Monarch last wednesday night there were
only 45 of us on the flight and talking to one of the passengers
she had been changed from Onur onto the Monarch flight which
left a day later and had messed her plans up but if after amalgamating
2 flights they still only have 45 passengers its a bit worrying!

Hi guys take some euros with you if you are flying onur air we wnt out and they tried to charge us £2 for effes that were priced at 2 euros and then again on the same way back, when I pointed this out they reduced the price in £s but not as much as they should have done - rip off

Ade
how much is the flight costing? sometimes the cheap deal is not all its cracked up to be.
shehow - same comment really. If you are not prepared to pay a reasonable price then you cant expect the airline to stay in business
I know that sounds harsh but if you shop around you can get really good prices with reputable airlines like Turkish Airlines and BA
hope it turns out OK, try not to let it spoil your trip

Re: Goldtrail up to the usual tricks
Don't know about Goldtrail this year (worked for them last year!) but Letoonia - a major holiday complex in Fethiye -is said to be closing on 3 October for the season, and I've also been told some of Jewel in the Crowns reps have gone back to the UK.

Re: Goldtrail up to the usual tricks
Take a look at the travelcare website. They have some cheap deals on there for Turkey some as cheap as £19 for a week SC! I am sure if you want to go 1/2 term and leave it till the last minute you will get something.

Re: Goldtrail up to the usual tricks
Hi, The £9 flight to Antalya on the Travelcare website adds up to £99 with all the taxes. I phoned to check it out. I hate it when travel companies do this! I think there is Government legislation coming into effect soon to stop it, but the travel companies are still at it. I will report the first one I see after the law is in effect.

Re: Goldtrail up to the usual tricks
There are some cheap excel flights for the weekend we want to go out but Goldtrail will not refund us. These Goldtrail flights cost £160 each return so I think we have paid a reasonable price, Thurstan. If low prices are putting them in Jeopardy then they should not advertise the prices.
I have spoken to Goldtrail again today and they are not budging. I really am not looking forward to Onur air at all. The monarch flight was 4 hours and the new Onur flight is 4hours 45 minutes.
I will never book with Goldtrail ever again
Ade
