lemmy will become famous soon enough
the good the bad and the ugly

i realise that there have been many discussions about selling agents in the side area and from a quick search there seems to be mention of many such as

motif homes
jordan properties
prime homes side
kale turkish properties

surely there must be at least one agent that people have used that could be recommended. if there is an agent out there who can say without fear of contradiction that they have a good reputation then i would be pleased to hear from them.

there seems to be good feedback on anita at turkish property shop and kaya homes and maybe one of these would be my best bet.

Re: the good the bad and the ugly

Lemmy, I am only imparting to you what my colleague told me - it is not a recommendation as such - A colleague of mine bought in Side on Lemon Grove or Orange Grove something like that - I am almost sure it was with Mecitolga (spelling) Homes - whilst I thought they were pretty expensive I have to say the quality did look lovely, she showed me the many e mails etc which came very very often via the build and updates constantly about money. I know she paid in stages and was in receipt of a tapu very quickly after completion. Perhaps some of the folks in this area will come along and tell you who they recommend. I stress I am not recommending I am merely passing on chit chat that I was privvy to with a past colleague, who is now retired so therefore cannot ask any questions.

Motıf Homes: No longer trading
Jordan properties: Same owner as Motif looking for more victims
Prime Homes Side: Turkish owned and operating
Kale Turkish Properties: British owned and operating.
Turkey Property Shop: Anita now living in Alanya and not focusing on the Side area any more. Many of their properties now jointly listed with Kale Turkish Properties.

Hope that clarifies the situation om the agents you have listed Lemmy.

Mecitoglu Homes and Kaya Homes both independent developers selling very high quality properties in the Side/Ilica/Sorgun areas. Most poeple would say they are the top two builders in the area.
The majority of feedback about these companies is good, some complaints about after sales but then who hasn't.

As a rule new build property in this area is very much more expensive to buy than re-sale. Therefore the previously owned (but not necessarily used) properties built by developers such as Mecitoglu and Kaya are much cheaper to buy than going down the off-plan route direct from the builder (although the payment schedules may be of benefit).

Re: the good the bad and the ugly

I have bought several properties from Anita at Turkey Property Shop and she has always given me a good deal and a very good after sales service and so I can recommend her to you if you are looking to buy property in the Side area. She is still living in Side and is selling properties in Side, Alanya and Belek. She has bought a property in Alanya and spends some weekends there. She looks after my properties for me and offers a property management service looked after by Hatice her hardworking and dedicated member of staff. I rent my properties out and I know I can sit back and relax while Anita and Hatice look after everything for me.

Hi guys & dolls,

The SUN emlak office in Çolaklı, next to Cihan Pide, opposite Grand Side hotel are good. Did business with them myself and know many of their customers who are satisfied. They work in Side, Belek area but are most specialised in the Evrenseki - Çolaklı - Gündoğdu area.
These areas are less expensive (villa for the price of an apartment) then Side and booming because of new hotels being build every year, Evrenseki beach park and harbour etc.

see
Enjoy Turkey !

Re: the good the bad and the ugly

I agree that Anita Simsek of Turkey Property Shop is an honest and trustworthy estate agent in Side. Despite the rumours that she has moved to Alanya - she in fact has an apt there but only spends weekends there and is in Side the rest of the week and, as above post says, she does still sell in Side, Belek and now Alanya.

Another highly reputable, honest and reliable Emlak - British owned and operated - is Side Riviera Properties run by Graham and Pat, an English couple - also their daughter Sara and her husband Capan. They do the very cheapest airport pick ups at just UK Pounds 60 return for up to 4 people. They also sell properties and do property management. They do my property management for me and even phone me in England if there has been a bad storm to put my mind at rest. I would certainly recommend Side Riviera Properties over any other agent in the Side area.

Re: the good the bad and the ugly

Completely agree with the positive comments about Anita. She sold an apartment for me last year and everything was taken care of in a very professional way.

İ had a total of five apartments at one stage, and three of them were sold by a Dutch lady estate agent called Hamiyet, whose company is based in Holland but spends a lot of time here in Side/Manavgat area. İnspite of current market conditions she managed to sell these three apartments for me within 8 months! Sales and payments went like clockwork. İf anyone would like her contact details please send me a pm.

Last apartment was sold via Sahibinden.com to a Turkish buyer, also worth trying if you want to sell. İt is free and you can place your advert in English.

İf İ can help anyone with more informatıon let me know.

I have a client who had put down a 10.000 Euro deposit on a house purchase with Sun Emlak. They never even informed the home owner, didn't set the Military Process in motion and when the buyer asked her money back after 6 months of waiting in vain they told her they had spent the money - oops. We helped her hire a solicitor and managed to get her money back. So unfortunately I cannot recommend you use Sun Emlak.
If you want to get in touch with our client for her to verify this story, just drop me a PM with you contact details and I will ask her to email you about it.
