I think you'd better ask Jane that question and get him struck off their list.

Good question Puffadder. Baz has been pushing business towards the bozo, Maffin for years and also legal business towards a Turkish lawyer, Seckin Arkan. I think the net is closing on these three stooges. You can find out a lot about Maffin from this forum and just by speaking to the ex-pat community in Side. He does have one 'friend' who speaks up for him in the forum but his real identity is unknown, so it could be Maffin himself. You may also hear the handle, 'Bob Bull****ter', it is one and the same person. I think he is trying to model himself on Dick Tracey and James Bond.

Indeed questions are being asked and answers demanded on Jane Baz, British Vice Consular, Head of Mission, Antalya, Bob/Rob Maffin and an Antalya based Turkish solicitor, Seckin Arkan.
Seems this triad work in unison with Jane Baz soliciting work for the others. This is highly irregular, immoral and in my case definately illegal. Rest assured there are others whose experiences already horrific have entered the 'mouth of hell' through their treatment from all three or combinations of the above mentioned.

I ask if regarding Maffin, the Turkish police needed to be alerted immediately, as a non- Turk he does not have the right to operate as a private investigator in Turkey. He could be deported unfortunately back to the UK but we will cope.

Re: Question - anyone know Mr Rob Muffin/Maffin ?

The police are not interested chivchiv, as it is not in their jurisdiction. Allegedly, Maffin has friends in the Side Jandarma, which could explain why an Englishwoman by the name of Debbie Donnaghue has still not been pulled in for questioning and been allowed to enter and leave Turkey several times since Andrews murder. It would also explain why he himself has not been told to desist from his illegal activities as a private eye. BTW, Maffin told me himself that he had friends in the Side Jandarma when he was trying to 'help' me evict a prostitute from my apartment. He said that he served papers on her at the Anadolu Hospital. The trouble with that lie was that she had been sacked 2 years previously and the court in Manavgat had no record of any papers being served on Meliha Kaplan by Maffin or Arkan. Read about it here melihakaplan.com

Richard Moore has just recently taken over the post of British Ambassador at the British Embassy in Ankara. Maybe he would be interested to learn about the information above and take some action if someone got in touch with him?

Problem is Suzy, that being politicians and the Foreign Office to boot, they will close ranks to protect their own. We all learned this from the MP's expenses scandal a while back.

Re: Question - anyone know Mr Rob Muffin/Maffin ?

Have tried, without success, to get contact details for Richard Moore, not that I believe it would do any good, since the FO in London have all the info regarding these three and have done nothing yet. Unfortunately, Mr Moore is one of those government representatives tirelessly campaigning for Turkey to be admitted into the EU and is hardly likely to rock the boat. His employer, Mr Cameron also does not have a problem with corruption, extreme censorship and state sponsored murder. Baz will probably be just quietly removed from her post, enjoy a fat pension, compliments of the British taxpayer and Maffin will just sink into obscurity. Arkan will just carry on with 'business as usual', like all the other crooks so prevalent in the legal industry here. Doesn't politics make you want to vomit?
