Altinkum over New Year

Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to go/what to do for New Year in Altinkum? We spent New Year 2010 there and went to Pinnochios for the big night. There were only about 30 people there so it was a bit quiet. We had a good time but don't want to go down the party night route this time if places are going to be quiet. How's it been for the last couple of years? Would we be able to just go somewhere for a drink? Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Sarah
Both Faruk's bar and U2 Leon's (about 200 yards apart on the Marina road) are both having new year's eve parties
U2 is up to the roundabout past Migros, turn left and along Cumhurriet cad, across Ege rd and on the other side of the roundabout on Marina road. Faruk's bar is same side of the road heading back down towards the beach, about 200 yds down

I think if you are looking for a quiet drink then altinkum is the place
The town is deserted
We went into the vets the other day to sort our dogs out to move out of here and the vet showed us at least 20 sets of paperwork for people going back to the UK with dogs in the next 3 months
Enjoy. We haven't

Oh dear

Luckily we are in need of peace and quiet after a stressful year but we will venture out two or three times for meals and hope for the best for new year.

Both very good. You will receive a warm welcome at both places (at any time of year might I add). Most of the customers aren't bad either!
