Tapu Office Location
I have been searching through treads dealing with Tapu related questions and I can't find anything in the posts that indicates where the Tapu office is located. Think it might be helpful if we could get some clarification, so can anyone answer these questions, please:
1. Is there a central Tapu office for all Turkey and if so is it located in Ankara?
2. Does each region have its own central Tapu office and if so is the office located in the main city for the region?
3. Does each local area have its own Tapu office and if so is it located in the Belediye building?
Answers to the above questions might be helpful to other members too, so I'm appealing to those with knowledge to share with the rest of us ignoramuses (or should that be ignorami?).
Maria.

Re: Tapu Office Location
Thre's a tapu office in Fethiye, next door to Gima, but don't know about any other areas. Presumably each area has it's own office??

Re: Tapu Office Location
Harem,
Thank you for your reply. At least I won't have to go to Ankara or Aydin if I want to have my tapu altered.
Do you remember whether the Tapu office was part of the Belediye or was it in a separate building?
Maria.

Re: Tapu Office Location
Part of the belediye. There is now a signpost at the entrance to the car park (between the kyamakam and Gima) pointing to the tapu office.

Re: Tapu Office Location
Thank you, Harem. I think it is reasonable to assume that if the Tapu office for Fethiye is in the Belediye building then the Tapu office for other areas will be in the local Belediye offices.

Re: Tapu Office Location
Hi Maria
If you needed to make actual changes (other than ownership) to a tapu then you would need to go to Aydin in this area.
The local Tapu office takes care of the small administrative stuff like mapping, ownership etc but the bit stuff like amalgamating tapus, changing classification etc normally entails visits to the local office and then several visits to Aydin.

Re: Tapu Office Location
Karyn,
Thank you very much for the info. I will probably need to get my tapu changed because our co-op is being signed off by the Belediye and I will want that reflected in the kat section of the tapu. Looks like that will entail a trip to Aydin. Is there a central municipal building in Aydin that houses the tapu office?
For the benefit of members with properties in other regions, is the situation similar throughout Turkey, i.e. that small issues are dealt with in the local office but more serious issues require a trip to the regional office?
Maria.

Re: Tapu Office Location
Hi Maria
Something like that could probably be done locally as it doesnt require altering the actual parameters of the land covered by the tapu or its building classification. The tapu office in Kusadasi isnt in the main Belidiye office, it's about 150 metres away (easier to show than explain!). Once the new Ex-Pat Citizens Advice Bureau opens in the Belidiye they will probably be able to advise you for free on how to go about getting this done.

Re: Tapu Office Location
Thanks again Karyn. Do you know whether the Tapu office in Kusadasi also covers Guzelcamli?

Re: Tapu Office Location
Hmm not sure about that Maria, it covers us and we are in Kirazli so I would guess it would cover Davutlar and Guzelcamli as well. I know some parts of the area (pockets of land between Kirazli and Camlik) come under Izmir due to the strange way the province maps were drawn but I think you would come under Kusadasi and ultimately Aydin.

PS Are you here at the moment or in Ireland?
