How to read your Tapu & Dask Certificate
With so many Tapu questions, i thought that a copy of a tapu could help understand. Thanks to Mustafa who has kindly put answers to the numbers.
Edit: 23rd August 2005: the sections marked unit owner and right of access should have a tick or cross in the box, this shows that the builder etc.. have obtained the right of living permits and accesses, all new property is now required to have this obtained before electrics and water can be connected.
However, due to many different Tapu types it is possible that there will be no box ticked, in this instance then something will be written in the bigger box ''Edinme Sebebi'' so not to panic if there is nothing in the check boxes.
Due to the many types of deed, it is advisable to show your Tapu to someone with more understanding, as generalising may lead to mis-understanding.
the document below is to be used only as a general reference
This info comes from Cenk our member who is the owner of Intertuk Estates Calis.
Copy of Dask Certificate (Government Earthquake Insurance)

Re: How to read your Tapu
If I'd have seen that a year age it would have saved me a lot of trouble working out the translations.
Great posting!

Re: How to read your Tapu
Brill info Lorraine.
Please may i add a link to the official Turkish consulate site that explains everything above and a little bit more, regarding ownership and tapu definitions etc.
Its http://www.turkisheconomy.org.uk/bu...perty/tapu.htm#
Hope this can help further, if only to emphasise that you read your tapu very carefully.
Darren
Please keep a eye on the above link for details on the new property law when its passed. :

Re: How to read your Tapu
Darren, thank you for the link,
http://www.turkisheconomy.org.uk/bu...perty/tapu.htm#
The above site is certainly starting to update, appears someone in the office has decided to get to work, a year ago the information on that site was a little stale with information that was very much out of date.

Re: How to read your Tapu
Hi Lorraine,
Is it just me, just tonight...??? I can't see the tapu picture that Lorraine posted.
Lorraine - your posts are always so informative and useful, ta, much appreciated! Just read the recent posts about habitation certificate / living permissions, so hope the picture comes back soon, cos I wanna check which box should show our habitation cert.

Re: How to read your Tapu
between numbers 11 and 12 there is a box marked unit ownership, this has a tick in the box confirming that our house has a certificate, even though I have not seen it, but apparently different districts do thing differently. (??)
Look under the photo and you will see an edit: with an explaination, I hope this helps.
