What is your point??

You've quite spectacularly failed to answer any of the questions put to you after opposing my OLEY!!

You didn't need to advertise our company. There's nothing wrong with anything you have printed up about us and nothing there that can't be seen on a daily basis on our website or in various other places.

Your red highlights only go to prove how little you actually know about this business.
The process IS simple and safe, we as agents are not paid until the sale is complete and there certainly are high build property standards to be had here.

Laugh away, there are thousands of foreign people living here that have had NO problems with Turkey's buying process. From now on, the system has opened up to some nationalities that were not allowed the priviledge of buying here before.
Ask some of those people concerned, they're really happy about it and will not be put off by scaremongers like yourself.

We are now still waiting for you to qualify the remarks you came out with in your 'sweeping statement'.

MP farce, Turkey's cash drought, losing life savings etc.
Those were the sweeping statements included in your post that I questioned and as yet you've sidestepped addressing all of them.

I'd love to understand what it is that you were trying to say?
Sorry Val, but I will make this a quickie reply.

None so blind as those who cannot see! I don't need to justify myself to you & if you can't see my point re: MC & my answer, oh well..........

I did Scotsteve, I think I titled it 'We thought about France'(posted about 3 weeks ago) but I'm afraid we probably didn't come across very positive because it really wasn't our thing at all.
But we learned a lot so it was worth the viewing trip and yu're right that so many people do love France, we met many and have corresponded with many more, pity we couldn't feel the same because the houses are to die for.

Re: Military search stopping

As the “starter” of this thread I probably along with others was hoping for something more significant on the suspension of Military Searches. It looks like I will be disappointed as will many others. If it closed to “straighten out” the bloody fiasco & the chance to stop the robbing sods that have wrecked people’s lives then BRAVO, as yet we do not have the full SP.
I have lived here eight years & there are many who have got what they paid for BUT, for one person to lose thousands of Pounds, I am afraid it’s one too many. AND let’s be honest there have been far too many.
I ask myself this. Knowing, listening & seeing what goes on here, if my parents were alive would I agree, help or advise them to buy or retire in Turkey? NO. Hard working people have lost the lot & I do not doubt in some cases their health. Of course there are some who have even lost family & friends because they have advised them to “go for it”, on the basis of the builder or agent treats us like family. In some case the agent does their best but the builder does not & visa versa.
The top & tail of it is, it looks like NO CHANGE except opening sales to more people with no safety net.
Agents, builders may well be rubbing their hands together & sad to say SOME AGENTS, SOME BUILDERS will be looking for the next mug to walk through the door or fall into their web.
I am still waiting (one of you may know) if the change has been a change to HELP US, if not that should tell all of us something. The Turkish Government must know by now what’s been going on but choose to let it continue.
Hindsight is a great thing but now Brits & other foreigners are getting foresight, its Turkey’s loss & the foreigners manage to keep their hard earned cash.
You had your chance & you blew it Turkey.

Re: Military search stopping

This change is to the law called reciprocity law and that seems to be all it has done, extended the number of nationalities who can buy property in Turkey. I think this is aimed at the Middle Eastern buyers, they have done with the British, Germans, Russians and now it's on to the next potential rich souce of income!

I wish them better luck than a lot of Brits had.

Re: Military search stopping

I have recently been told that resale properties that have undergone military search don't need to have the process repeated on resale ? Is this true ?

Just to clarify, any previous military permission needs to have been done post 5/5/2011 for this to apply.

A great step forward and an encouragement for buyers to purchase resale properties, where military permission is already in place. Note this applies to any property within a parcel that already has military permission.

These sales can now happen in a few days, rather than a few weeks, meaning less likehood of things going wrong. Of course buyers still need to be cautious and do their research, but it is still good news.
