Yes, Karyn, come to think of it our address is Guzelcamli, Kusadasi, Aydin, so reckon the Kusadasi office is the place for us. Looking forward to the new Citizen's Advice service in Kusadasi. Just hope it isn't another means of promoting a select number of businesses because I get weary of being taken for a fool in Turkey.

I'm in Ireland now. Won't be in Turkey again til next year unfortunately.

Hi to all
We seem to have a problem with our developer delaying our tapu. We have been waiting almost 2 years & we feel as if there must be some financial gain by them holding up the process.
Our apartment is in Gumusluk we are going out there next week can anyone tell us where the tapu office is & is it possible to go in & deal with it ourselves.

Hi Jim,
The Tapu Office is in Bodrum. It's on the promenade beside Caffe Piu, set back a little way from the road. Coming from the entrance to the old town, walk past about 6 or 7 restaurants. Then there's a break in the row of buildings. The entrance to the Tapu Office is between the last of these restaurants and Caffe Piu which serves excellent Italian cappucino while you're waiting for your business to be processed at the Tapu Office.
In all honesty, I don't know whether you will achieve much on your own unless you speak Turkish. We went with our developer, an old friend who speaks both German and English, a tapu agent from Bodrum that our friend used to get our military clearance through quickly and an official translator who had to translate the tapu for us before it was signed.
Unfortunately I can't give you their addresses as their business cards are in the file in Turkey and I am back home again in Germany. However, the tapu agent's office is in the same building in Bodrum as the 2 noter. That is just up the road towards the market from the old town. On the left hand side there are several fruit stalls and the entrance to the building is just beside them.
Maybe you should just go and camp in your developer's office until he goes to the Tapu Office with you.
