help with tax & insurance

Hi all, i hope somebody could advise me regarding property tax and earthquake insurance. The estate agents i bought through used to have a bill paying scheme, but last year they finished the scheme and now i am due to pay for property tax and earthquake insurance. These are both due in May but we are not over until July/August. Will we be ok to sort out and pay when we are over or will we get fined etc.? If anybody can advise that would be great, Thanks David..

Can any one advise,
how do you get your property tax notice for payment or is the responsibility down to the owner to go to the office with the Tapu each year / six months.
I was expecting the demand to be posted to my property.

Boltonborn:

They don't send out any notification for property tax. You go to the Belediye with your tapu and tax card and pay whatever is due. The amount payable is a percentage of the tapu value.

We pay our property tax online with yalikavak belidiye (google yours) and DASK through Garanti Bank. The fine for not paying property tax on time is quite tiny, just a few lira.

I went a couple of weeks ago and paid ours at Didim Beledeyesi(through main door and talk to the lady behind the counter on the left. She then took us over to pay for our water. She is always so helpful.
