davemaden Member	council tax ? hi can someone help me with a receipt i have from a bill i paid when i was in turkey . its got the words " TAHSILAT MAKBUZU" on the top and it was for 30ytl was this something to do with the council tax or something else? i need to find if im up to date with paying the council tax , what turkish words should i be looking for on the council tax bill to identify it ? thanks

i looked at my receipt and it says cevre temizlik vergisi 2008 -1 18 and the same for 2008-2 18 ytl . so 36 for the year in 2 payments . and this is my council tax payment.

davemaden Member	Re: council tax ? thanks . just wasnt sure as its only for 30 ytl . if we go the beledesi will they tell us when the next payment is due as we are only over in turkey once a year and can you pay in advance so as not to get fined? thanks

biggles biggles	Re: council tax ? i think it is march and may . but i only pay in may for the 2 payments as the fine is so small its not worth worrying about . some one on our complex had not paid for 3 years and his total bill inc fine was about £180 Last edited by biggles : 9th August 2008 at 19:50.
