I asked this question recently over on the Gumusluk thread, but I think I should probably have directed it to this forum:

Part of my leaseback deal with Nokta obligated them to pay all of the property taxes due on my apartment. I believe that effectively equates to the 6-monthly payment of the Real Estate Tax to the local tax office, but are there any other direct taxes that need to be paid on a new apartment?
Is it possible to discover if there are any unpaid Real Estate Taxes on an apartment without visiting the local tax office in person?

I'd be grateful for any information that other forum users could provide.
