ikea

Thanks to everyone who recently advised us on the route from Fethiye to Izmir. Just to let you know, it was a round trip of 9 hours (including getting lost in Izmir), cost 200tl in petrol, and nearly my marriage and all i bought was a jug and a colander.
PLEASE if i ask directions again, IGNORE ME lol

Me and some friends went to IKEA from Fethiye a month back. When we got there you could see the IKEA tower but couldn't fathom how to get in. Too many over and under passes. We got in big trouble coming away as we couldn't get onto the motorway we came in on and ended up going through traffic mad central.

Also I've never come back from an IKEA trip in all my years (UK) with what I needed (out of stock or wrong size) ever and ended up buying stupid things I didn't need. Me and my daughter alike - it's always been a standing joke! Also never get in a domestic with your love one in there. Walking off in a huff is impossible because they are designed with only the exit at the end of the shop - no quick get away route

Re: ikea

Hi,

Thanks for the good laugh, really needed that tonight. Love your sense of humor

In case you don't know there's a shop in Fethiye called "JJ's Shop" that organize weekly shopping trips (every Wednesday) to Ikea Izmir. You can either order from catalogue or go with them (price is 99 TL pp), a bit pricey and too much of a hassle in my opinion...
Used them myself last week, ordered a 3 doors wardrobe, TV cabinet and kitchenware. Delivery + "montage" cost 160 TL. Can't complain with the service.
