Which is the cheapest area from Bodrum

Still on the quest for finding ways to get to a destination as CHEAPLY as possible. (must be the Scottish blood in me)

Ok, as some of us know, it's sometimes possible to book a package holiday for even less than the cost of a flight only.

So my question is this, which resort/area do you know of, or are known for ultra cheap package holidays 'but landing in Bodrum' or at a push Izmir?

Obviously just because you book a package does not mean to say you have to use the accommodation that you initially select, or even arrive at it if you also want to arrange your own transfer.

Re: Which is the cheapest area from Bodrum

Well, Side seems to be the cheapest package deal, but it doesn't land at Bodrum.
For Bodrum I would suggest trying Gumbet holidays. You'll be on a flight of 18 - 30's but what the heck, you only live once.
For Izmir try Altinkum.

Good luck, let us know how you get on

Teletext Holidays

I love doing these types of searches so if you need help and provide me with the information (preferred airports/dates etc) I don't mind helping you look.

Maybe we can have a little forum competition

Re: Which is the cheapest area from Bodrum

sometimes the cheapest deals are the last minute deals - alas only available when the flights aren,t full - still works out cheaper then bus, train or ferry, if you,re lucky enough to book one.

Re: Which is the cheapest area from Bodrum

One of the things being is we possibly just get into a routine of using our list of holiday sites and just take what's on offer, so thought it might help to see which sites other people are using.

So going on the basis of cheap/ish accommodation are there then also companies who are also prepared to keep flight prices to a minimum whilst still making money on the cheap accommodation.

Sorry Charlotte, didn't mean to ignore you, Side & Gumbet are to far East to fly to and then get to Didim.
It's mainly just about hearing the like's of Dave and Bevs experience as below to be able to create a list of sites that people have had that type of deal, but unfortunately as Dave says, it's all about being there at the right time.

Thanks Dave & Bev, that's the type of thing I'm interested in knowing, but if you don't mind, was that with flying into Bodrum and from which company did you use.
