Getting to Meis from Turkey.
Hi all was wondering if anyone had some advice about getting to Meis from Turkey. We were thinking of flying into Dalaman , staying a few days locally and then going over for maybe a week and then come back for a few days before flying home. Has anyone stayed there? Where does the ferry go to get over as this would have an effect on where we choose to stay in Turkey. It looks so lovely over there but was thinking maybe a week would be enough to have a rest and recharge batteries!!
Any advice would be great.

Re: Getting to Meis from Turkey.
Regular dolmus, hired dolmus or bus to Kas from Dalaman. We often enjoyed overnight stays in Kas, too. You can stay in Meis, of course, but Kas is pretty good in the evenings.
Enjoy your trip.

Don't ring Selo, he hasn't been doing the trip for about five years now.
The two boats that go nowadays are
Meis Ferry Lines https://www.meisferrylines.com/
and
Meis Express https://www.meisexpress.com/en/home
There are a few small pensions/hotels as well as the bigger Megisti Hotel.

That underlines my thinking back to the good old days when Selo was how you sorted your residency and stocked up on bacon all in a very enjoyable day!!!
They were the days!!!!!

Yes they were the days, the last time I brought some bacon back the "lady" customs officer took it off me and I heard she later threw it in the harbour!

Well worth a visit, we went from Kas for the day. Beautiful little harbour. Staying there for a week? think not you you be bored, better off staying in Kas.
