Second that, we drove a Golf GTTDI to Turkey.
Through Europe no problem, sports suspension, low profile tyres on Turkish Roads (not motorways) very worrying.

Think you have been away too long Chips. generally Turkish roads are now superb (get me elected), far superior to UK. last year we did a 1200km trip over a couple of days and found all the 'A' roads to be in superb condition.

Re: Driving to Turkey 2018

A mate who is driving from Romania to Bodrum was asking me the other day for the ferry times from Tekirdag to Bandirma .
To the best of my knowledge there is no such ferry route (He got it from Google maps) but if I am wrong could someone direct me to the web site for times and booking .

Thanks

I am. I often dream about doing the drive down to Olympus Beach on the D400 in a sports car instead of a Dacia Duster

No the roads around where we are are fine. Up in the mountians behind us or taking back roads to the beach a 4X4 would be king, but sticking to the populated areas they are as good if not better than UK

Thanks everyone for the driving info. Should be doing this later in the year. House up for sale again. Hope now most of the Brexit noise has died down we can sell it this time.
Just thought I would mention the 2 year rule if you are not 65 you need to be out of Turkey 180 days before you can bring your car in 2 year's, if you have a RP or used to be.
