Re: Turkish living

I would choose Kemer for the first time, the perfect combination of sea and mountains. But we must look at what exactly is important for you in the rest. Maybe the most important thing for you is a sandy beach, then Kemer will not work.
I love Turkey in the second half of May, when there is no heat, and the water is still refreshing. But if you belong to a tribe of creeps who cannot swim in water less than 27 degrees, then its wiser to go from the end of June

That is uncalled for. We should be welcoming contributions from new members.

This is uncalled for imho , you may not consider it rude , but i do

" But if you belong to a tribe of creeps who cannot swim in "

It is rude and disrespectful to call forum members creeps , so like for like .

You can always kick me off If you don't like it .

Steve

Re: Turkish living

And I'm happy to say all is going to plan with our move back to Turkey, arrived back with more stuff yesterday, bought a sofa this morning and had it delivered this afternoon. The shop where we ordered our dining table and chairs informed us there is a delay in delivery, so sent us their display table and chairs this afternoon to use in the meantime, and our internet was installed today, very impressed with everything. Long may it last. xx

Hi

The restaurant is called THE RABBIT.

We had a taxi from the top road that cost 38tl on the meter. (we'd never have found The Rabbit if we'd tried to walk as we neither of us have any sense of direction!).

We had a great breakfast there last Saturday. If you want an idea of prices, it was 70tl for a spread breakfast for 2 people with unlimited tea; breakfast for one 25tl; Menemen 15tl; Cappuccino or Americano 12tl. Oh, and the all-important 50cl EFES was 18tl.

We took a slow walk back down as we figured there's no way we can get lost if we just heading downwards!

There's an amphitheatre looking out to sea, gardens, fountains, water features, picnic areas with benches and seats and childrens play areas up there too it's not just a restaurant.

I'd like to have gone back at night but we ran out of time!
