That's very sad and disappointing Kanga. Was that in the U.K or Turkey ?

Yes, I agree. It's in Kargi outside Datca, Turkey. There's a NATO base up in the mountains and a garrison just outside town, so often quite a large military presence with families, but no-one seemed to bother very much after the initial interest. We do occasionally see someone with a bottle of water but there's no regular care for the trees, just a notice board with an explanation about the forestry input.
So sad when you consider the huge forestry project and forces memorial in Staffordshire UK.

Re: Turkish living

Pleased to see the daily Sabah reports 'no coronavirus in Turkey' . They say it was usual type of influenza. Any one had flu whilst living in Turkey this year?

I suspect the daily Sabah will print what it is told to print. What I would like to know is how many Chinese were killed at this stage of the 'winter season' last year by 'normal' types of influenza.

Yes, I did. First time in over 15 years. Lasted for nearly three weeks. Suspect I picked it up whilst waiting in a chemist shop.

LOL the BBC said 17c in Antalya today, it's 2c here and we had sleet and snow yesterday

Strangely 20c at our villa (1hour from Antalya) with sunshine and cloud

8 weeks till we fly out its dragging by at the moment

Hopefully we will have had some serious interest in selling our house in the UK by then and we will again be thinking of the big move to Turkey. I feel like I am so close but so far. Reely want to get it done soon.
