Driving to Turkey 2020

Hi

Can you tell me what you do for car insurance when in Turkey? I am aware I am covered by a green card whilst driving across Europe, but can I get an extension on that green card to cover Turkey, or do I have to purchase that at the border? And if yes, is that expensive?

Any hints and tips gratefully received.

Thanks in advance

Mags

Saga insurance covers turkey for an extra 25
But you have to be insured with them
You get third party insurance at the border for 78 euros for three months.
