Easyjet Hand Luggage restriction

See below located on the Easyjet website today.
Turkey Travel restrictons

30/07/2020
IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR PASSENGERS TRAVELLING TO AND FROM TURKISH AIRPORTS

Following a requirement from Turkish regulatory authorities, passengers travelling into or out of Turkish airports will only be allowed to bring on one small bag, no larger than 45cm x 36cm x 20cm. If your cabin bag is larger than this, it will not be permitted on board. Please visit the easyJet Bag Drop before you pass through Security, and we will place it in the aircraft hold for free, provided it is within your standard cabin bag allowance (56cm x 45cm x 25cm). If you arrive at Bag Drop or the departure gate with hand baggage larger than this, the standard bag charges will apply. If you would like to purchase a 15kg, 23kg, or 30kg hold bag, you can add that to your flight via Manage Booking.

Re: Easyjet Hand Luggage restriction

Landed at Dalaman this evening on a Jet2 flight (Easyjet flight was cancelled) and had no issues with hand luggage, the passenger location form that you have to complete just gets posted into a box before your temperature is read on a thermal camera and then onto passport control and away, very very quiet though both at Stansted and Dalaman

I flew from Stansted to Izmir on Monday afternoon with Pegasus. Stansted was really quiet for July. Most food outlets were shut and only a small WH Smith open flight side.No temperature checks or mask enforcement.Duty free all open but no testers so not many sales.

Izmir was deserted, temp check on arrival, mask compulsory,Location form filled in on plane and dropped into a box before passport control.

We're flying with Easyjet to Dalaman on Monday. I've had no email notification of this nor is there any mention of it when I go onto my booking on the app or the main site. I had to scour the website to find it under latest travel info so thanks for the heads up.
Normally Easyjet are offering that facility 'hands free' at a cost and they still are so they are charging those who are unaware for something that is free anyway !!!
Strangely there is no mention of it on the jet2 site!

Re: Easyjet Hand Luggage restriction

Turkish Airlines have also amended the hand luggage sizes on their website. The following is on their website.
“In accordance with coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic measures, cabin baggage rules have been temporarily amended to maintain social distance and reduce movement around the cabin. At this time, one personal item per passenger, not to exceed 4 kg, is permitted in the aircraft cabin. One piece of cabin baggage per passenger, not to exceed 8 kg, will be carried in the cargo compartment free of charge”.

Their sizes are 40cm x 30cm x 15cm. Hoping this a temporary measure ends soon as all our hand luggage is too large to meet the new restrictions.
