Another foodie question

Hi everyone

Can you buy salted butter in Turkey, if so whats it called have been trying different brands, the last one I tried was goat or sheep milk butter (was disgusting).

Also can anyone recommend a mild feta type cheese, again dont like them too goaty (tastes like a goat smells).

I do like goats by the way just couldnt manage a whole one!

Re: Another foodie question

when buying the cheese make sure it is INEK PERYNIRI......that means cow cheese, whic i prefer over sheep and definately goat. I get the yarim yagli which is half the fat.... the whole fat is much nicer of course.. but more calories too....

Most butters have a little salt, just not what we are used to I think.....Just add some salt.....try known brands Like PINAR they are the best
and they are made from cows milk.

Hi Jane

In Kipa or Carrefour in Alanya you can buy Hollandaise Butter (don't know if that's the correct spelling) which is the nearest taste to English butter you can get (as it's Dutch). The other spread which is quite palatable is the olive spread.
