Nar Ekşili - any good recipe ideas?

C'mon all you Turkish chefs... Do you have a good recipe or two for this pomegranate syrup? I have some to use up.

I use it in soups and stews, just add a few drops when you want to give them a little tang.

Mmm...thanks Mushtaq - i'll try!
On the net I just found "Nar-eksili patlicanli kofte" (Turkish meatballs with roasted eggplant and pomegranate-tomato sauce)

(off topic but GBP:YTL is 2.18 today!)

Re: Nar Ekşili - any good recipe ideas?

its used a lot in dishes in Hatay they use it in stuffed vegetables
BUT my favourite is in KISIR salad..a specialty of the Hatay region
its a salad made from bulgur..cracked wheat which is softened to swell..
then you mix in some tomato and pepper paste a litle olive oil
and then you finely chop spring onions tomatoes parsley, peppers and mix it all together
and then you add the nar ekşisi and mix it in..have a taste to see if its got that zing
then you pile the salad up on a big round tray and eat it (sitting cross legged on the floor)with big long crisp lettuce leaves..break bits off to either scoop it up..or fill with a fork.
eat your heart out Delia Smith
