A new Turkish Cookery Book

I noticed a new Turkish cookery book in the shops the other day called Turquoise: A Chef's Travels in Turkey. Half wrote as a travel diary it features recipes from different regions of Turkey including; Istanbul, Ayvalik, Gaziantep and Cappadocia etc.
Not sure what the recipes are like but the photography and illustrations are superb.

Re: A new Turkish Cookery Book

Have just added this to our library - the pictures are beautiful and the recipes read well - although the size of it makes it more of a coffee table book than a kitchen table book! Would be a great Christmas gift.

Re: A new Turkish Cookery Book

This is a fabulous book to look at, as well as read and cook from. Contains my favourite recipe for kisir salad, as well as a wonderful pilav recipe with spinach, herbs and pistachio nuts. One recipe I haven't tried, however, is börek 'cigars' filled with poached brains.
