Spinach and Yogurt

There's probably not a Turkish meal that can not have this served up alongside of it...

Ingredients...

* 1 bag washed spinach
* 1 large pot natural low fat yoghurt
* 2 cloves garlic

Instructions...

1. Remove stems from spinach if necessary and place in a pan with just a small amount of water. Steam for three minutes and leave to cool.

2. Add the crushed garlic to the yoghurt and mix well.

3. When the spinach has cooled place on to serving plates. Spoon the yoghurt on top and sprinkle with a dash of paprika.

Re: Spinach and Yogurt

Hi Gezmek, I often have this, my Turkish wife and her family are all great cooks and we oten have this dish.
Its normally served as a meze or as a starter. I would say that it must be served chilled and do not overdo the garlic as this can kill the dish. Serve up with fresh Turkish bread and it is simply wonderful. Its so easy to knock up that I have also made it in the past.

Afiyet Olsun !!
