Figs

i have a fig tree & an almond tree
does anyone know any recipes for figs & almonds

also when do you know when the figs are ripe to eat

The green figs will be ready about July, but the black wont be ready until August.
The best recipe I have tasted was to combine both was to simply wrap dried or poached fig around an almond - then add cream!

I love figs, dates etc. In fact I'm just munching on some stoneless dates, bought from that well known shop Julian Graves, as I have given Chocolate up for lent, they're delicious with a scoop of red wine, lol.
