Do you like piyaz

piyaz is a type of bean salad and i love it...its easy tasty and cheap.
Although im putting it in the Turkish food section it could also be included in the veggie section
im giving you the ingredients in Turkish and English..it tastes better in Turkish!

piyaz tarifi malzemeler*piyaz recipe ingredients
250 gr Kuru Fasulye 250 gr haricot beans (you can get them in a can )
1 Su Bardağı Sirke a water glsss of vinegar
1 Adet İri Soğan one large onion
1 Demet Maydanoz a bunch of parsley

Sos İçin for the sauce ( dressing)
Tuz , Beyazbiber salt and white pepper
2 Çorba Kaşığı Sirke 2 soup spoons vinegar
6 Çorba Kaşığı Zeytinyağı 6 soup spoons olive oil

Süslemek İçin for the top (decoration)
2 Orta Boy Domates 2 medium sized toms
2 Katı Haşlanmış Yumurta 2 hard boiled eggs

heres what you do
soak the beans overnight..or open a can
next day cook until they are soft strain off the water but keep a little back.
Rinse the beans then add the glass of vinegar..let them stand for about two hours.

Make the dressiıng by combining the water you kept back with the salt pepper vinegar and olive oil mix them well together beat with a fork.

chop the onion into thin half rounds
chop the parsley
mix the sauce with the rinsed beans onion and parsley
slice the toms and the hard boiled eggs and put on top of the bean salad.
You can serve with lemon wedges

there are some different variatons of this salad..some have eggs some dont some have chopped green peppers pitted olive etc..its up to you.

In Antalya they also add tahin to the sauce which is also delicious
