Thanks for the post.
My mum (we are from Bolton) told me last week she is going over to visit her sister in Cleveleys and they plan on visiting the Turkish restaurant they had heard about in Lytham, so its good to hear your good review. :-)

The Ev on Isabella Street near Waterloo Station in London is fabulous - stiff white linen tablecloths - chandeliers - but rock bottom prices - 3-course Turkish meal there just £5.95 - and a Turkish deli with fresh bread etc next door - tucked just behind the New Vic Theatre -

Amazing. You get good value in Central London but would pay so much more for a similar meal in Bodrum, Gumbet or Bitez. In Bitez you'd hardly get a main course for the same price.

Hi Tosmur

You must be near me, I’m in Stroud Green, My personal preference on Stroud Green Road is Sugar Lounge (not least because its a 2 min walk for me and it plays a lot of good music like Mercan Dede etc.) Petek is also good but a little bit more expensive.

Down Green Lanes I tend to go to either Diyarbakir or Anterpliler

Personally I think the best Turkish restaurants in our area (if not the whole of London) are down Dalston/Kingsland High Street. Mangal Ocakbasi is very popular as it has the reputation of being Rick Stiens favourite kebab restaurant, I’m not sure its reputation is deserved as its always been too busy to get in whenever I’ve been, but there are a number of great restaurants around the corner on the High Street.

Certainly spoilt for choice in North London.
