Re: foody goodies from Antakya
Thanks Shirl , nicely put , i like the vinegary one as well , i use it like Balsamic Vinegar.
I am rubbish at salad , cannot bear the stuff but a bit of Balsamic or Nar does help.
Nearest i get to a salad is a Glasgow Salad. Lol
Thanks
Steve.

Re: foody goodies from Antakya
That tickled me.
Reminded of a family from Hull that used to eat at my place.
Couldn't possible eat any foreign stuff. The parents used to order Spaghetti Bolognese every night!!

Shirley , a Glasgow Salad is a bag of chips with low calorie salt and vinegar.

What amazes me most ist the amount of food that has been made just to give away, this must have taken some time to make it, what a wonderful thing to do !

I agree Nadine, and that is one of the things I so love about Turks, anything and everything around their table is shared, and if they find out you enjoy a certain dish, they damn well make sure you get it next time they see you. Our friends' wife makes the best cheese and spinach borek, one early evening we called to see him, there was a platter of home made goodies on the tray, which we were invited to join, and you cannot say No Thank you, so I loved these little boreks. Next day we goes into the village, and there was a freshly made bagful for us to take home. They are just wonderful sharing people.
