Can anyone translate this for me please?? Think I have most of it and pretty sure its a poem but would appreciate confirmation!!! Thanks in advance

I would like to be a rose. When i get snapped from the branch (on which i stay), it should be only for you and only to fade in your hands/palms, my love. If you ever want to learn how much I love you, try holding the rain drops, those you could catch is yours [your love for me] and those you couldnt, is the amount of love i have for you.


PS. tried my best but it is not so good and aesthetic, perhaps somebody else can do a better job.

when i say "who" i mean was it a waiter a builder or someone like that?

The poem was to me from my boyfriend - he is neither a waiter or a builder though.

I sent him a poem written in Turkish - guess he's just reciprocating - rather nice
