But i have been told that i have to pay an extra 350 for re application even though i have paid for the orignal application.Has anyone else had the same problem or if anyone could offer any advice that would be great! Hopefully be out in Didim v soon & hopefully will be able to pick up our Tapu! many thanks!

Re: Tapu

Welcome to the Forum. I hope you get everything sorted and I suppose in the long run 350 to finally get your Tapu might be a price worth paying.

Put your hands up if you have heard that type of story before or even had to pay two or three times, why is it then when there has been a "mistake" (and I loosley use that word) that the buyer has to pay again? Why not the one who made the mistake?

Hmm, I wonder?
Surely not to rip off the customer???? No........I don't believe this for one minute!!! I must have a very warped mind to think such things.....

Re: Tapu

Hi folks thanks for the prompt replies! Indeed my point to the seller was why should we have to pay again after all it was not our fault the tapu had to go back 4 times! The standard price for application is 350.But to pay again seems to be the only way to recieve the Tapu hey Ho!. Will send an e mail to say i'm ready to transfer the money But god knows when i will recieve a reply which seems to be the way things work over there! Many thanks agin!

Re: Tapu

İts like most things if you have to reapply and have things changed, then you have to pay again.. Sorry.. was the original paperwork correct do you know, because if its their mistake then İ think you can dispute it..

Re: Tapu

Hi there the original paperwork was correct the problems lay within the tapu office with misspelling of surname & apartment number.Has gone through 4 times in total.

Juat had an email from the seller to say that the tapu should be sorted by the time we come out once money is paid but cannot say 100% for sure. here lies my main problem with the Tapu one wk it's dandy then the next week it's gone wrong again Hey ho we shall wait & see! Thanks again folks!

Re: Tapu

There is this enormous invisible gulf between what Northern europeans think is right and the way things should be done and what Mediteranean people think in these matters. For example if you buy a tub of butter in Tesco and get it home only to find it is off and out of date, you take it back and get a replacement or your money back. Easy!
Here if you buy a tub of butter, get home to find not only is it off, out of date but has finger marks in it! Tough! You should have checked before you bought it.

Another one, I buy a machine from an importer/distributor and sell it on to the customer and it breaks down in the warranty period, here, you the customer is expected to send it back to the importer/distributor or service agent at your cost and you have to keep chasing them for it. Because I am Northern European selling to another Northern European, he expects me to do all that! A Turkish supplier would not.

I know this is slightly off topic but what I am trying to say is sometimes even though they have made a mistake, you still have to pay to correct it. I know it is not right but what can you do?
