annotation charge on property
I have recently been told an annotation has been placed upon my apartment and I will have to pay to have it removed before I can sell. According to the site lawyer this is happening all over and affecting lots of people> Has anyone had any experience of this or can anyone offer advice?

Re: annotation charge on property
It's all on-going at the moment but some kind of trust which is mentioned in another thread. I was curious to see if anyone else had heard of, or been affected by, this sort of thing years after purchasing your property.

Re: annotation charge on property
unfortunately just a lot of legal waffle at the moment. It basically states an old trust had been set up on the land many years ago which was subsequently purchased by the developer to build our site.(the lawyer cannot access the documents to conform this which makes me wonder how this came to light in the first place!). This trust however was not known about by any of the owners until now. They are saying a charge of 10% of the property value has to be paid for each apartment for the annotation to be removed. Apparently you cannot sell while these annotations are in place. The site lawyer is looking into it but from her last correspondence it is happening to a lot of owners. I am curious to find out if anyone has any experience of this type of thing.

Thank you for the explanation - I admit I am not familiar in any way with this.
Desflurane if you need any further insight into this by an independent body where you will find true and honest answers please don't overlook the fact that Crescent homes will be able to assist you in all aspects of property matters.
