New Law?

Is it correct that a new law was passed in Turkey yesterday which states that people's homes and furniture can not be taken to pay off debts any more?

Re: New Law?

That's not true Firefox, here is a list of what they can and cannot take if you are in the UK

If you let a bailiff into your home, they are allowed to take some of your belongings.
Bailiffs can't take:
things you need - like your clothes, cooker, furniture or work tools
someone else's belongings - like your partner’s computer
They can take luxury items - like a TV or games console.
They can also take things from outside your home - like your car or garden equipment.
The bailiff will sell the items they take to pay the debt and cover their fees.

Re: New Law?

I was asking a question a Turkish customer said he saw it on the internet that the law changed (day B4 yesterday) and the new law prevented people's furniture and property being taken to cover debts, apparently people can still be taken to court for debts and money can be demanded from bank accounts but that was all the man told us I was merely checking if anyone knows if this is true if anyone else has any information about it.
I don't know myself.

Re: New Law?

If true its interesting, at first glance certain buyers would be thinking great but certain builders facing court would be thinking GREATER.

Its a good Q all the same, its Qs like this that need to be on forums..............so someone pop up with the answer please
