Obviously not sure what that would involve apart from NO management company or registration needs to be involved.
i believe if they rent for 1 month or over then the rules don't apply .As not classed as a short term rent .

Re: New Rental Regulations in Turkey

Thanks oldfogy - I did think about long term rental agreement or as my children wish to use the property as well without me - a timeshare agreement? Is there such a thing in Turkey? This affects so many couples I should imagine.

Re: New Rental Regulations in Turkey

In one respect I have now become to like the new scheme as it gives me a genuine reason to say NO sorry because of the new letting laws you cant use my accommodation it would not be possible, and not just say NO to friends who are quite capable of buying their own, because I don't want them there.

After a 30 minute wait, I was then ushered in to take a telephone call from the head honcho. He asked me my address, proof of valid visa, purpose of friends visit to Turkey , the length of stay etc. He said ok no problem. When I offered visitors passport details and photographs etc he told me " not necessary".

Where does this fit in with the various companies charging over £100 to help registration etc? Similarly with the Iskan amnesty which is available until 31/10/18. I understood this application process to be only available through a government office BUT my friend told me of real estate agencies who are now offering " another cheaper route" .

Re: New Rental Regulations in Turkey

Take warning chaps:-

Police have raided apartments rented out on a daily basis in the Mediterranean resort province of Antalya and the western provinces of Kocaeli and Düzce and fined the owners of the flats on grounds they made the premises available for accommodation without notifying authorities.

Police inspected a number of apartments in several districts of Antalya including Alanya, Akseki, Manavgat, Aksu, Serik and Kemer.

In Alanya, the owners of seven apartments were fined a total of 42,000 Turkish Liras ($8,100).
