Actually, if you understand the reason behind it, it is perfect; hotel owners want to crush the rental market, and government want taxes and employment: job done.

Re: New Rental Regulations

I am told the jandarma in Sarigerme, Mugla want everyone who comes to my villa which I do not rent out, ie my children, relatives to be registered every day they are here. To do this I have to download their programme. This seems very excessive to other things I have read on the net, like the doc Martin Facebook page.
Any thoughts please?

Re: New Rental Regulations

Whatever the right or wrong of it is the fines are very severe, so donīt take risks. If the local Jandarma have a view of it different to an on-line website, it is the Jandarma who will be standing across the court room, not Doc Martin.

Re: New Rental Regulations

The information in my file has come from the Jandama in another province to Mr Sarigerme's...as is common here, you can give a sheet of notes to two Turks, ask them to both read it,then ask them what it said & get two differing answers..
I'm confident that after having four sources read the new laws that the information supplied in my file is officially correct.
