Municipal Water v Well Water

Can anyone advise as to what is involved in procuring municipal water services. We currently have free well water but have been told that obtaining municipal water is now a mandatory requirement ! If anyone had experience of this then I would like to hear what is involved. Thanks

Re: Municipal Water v Well Water

My only experience was during a property development some years ago. Our plumber did all the running around to get permissions, we then had to lay a pipe from the road to the house (100 mtrs) and the water company then did the connections. If you have water to the road outside your house a plumber will probably be able to help you out.

ps Just had a look at the Muski site which lists the paperwork you need for connection. It varies according to date property was built, but go to "Abone Hizmetleri" and use a translate on the page: http://win.muski.gov.tr

For example:
"SUBSCRIPTION REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR HOUSING
The building's construction date prior to the date 12.10.2004;

1-Related County Council stating that the text of the relevant sections of independent real estate was made prior to the date 12.10.2004

2-Phone, Electricity, Natural Gas one copy of the contract

3-Identity Document Identity Number located

4. Compulsory Earthquake Insurance Policy (TCIP)

5-original notarized power of attorney (if the applicant has not come to sign the contract)"
