I remember a few years back in Didim complete top floors being demolished by the local authority, the same has happened here in the UK. From footings, foundations to the top floor a build should be built to the spec. Add another floor on & everything below that added floor comes under stress.
I appreciate what Turkey is trying to do, solve the problem & its great for those who can now get an Iskan both expats & Turks alike, but it doesn't alter the fact that the regulations/standards have been breached.
Bit like having a dodgy MOT, gets you by till the brakes fail.
