I understand the Dutch Government has introduced new visa control ,stopping their nationals leaving the country for more than 3 month's,after this they loose their right to pensions and medical care.What i find alarming is we have a English friend how has lived in Germany 40 years with a British passport and was stopped at the airport in Antalya and was asked if she had a letter giving her permission to come to turkey .and yes she has a ikamet.The immigration informed her it was a new mandate from the British government. Also yesterday evening we where asked why the British residents ,only the British, from next may will need to apply for a visa to get in to Turkey,and leave with their ikamet.This also is from the British government .So my question is this, are we going down the same road as the Dutch. Re: Your comments please

For people living in Turkey and getting the Dutch state AOW pension

[Your AOW pension will be paid

If you live in this country, you can receive, or continue to receive, an AOW pension and AOW top-up, provided you meet the conditions. You can retain your entitlement in this country because an agreement has been concluded on the verification of entitlements.

In addition to the Export Restrictions on Benefits Act (BEU Act), there are other factors that could affect the amount of your AOW pension and AOW top-up. We would therefore advise you to contact the SVB if you intend to move to this or another country.

Re: Your comments please

Here is the official Dutch Healthcare website

Healthcare benefit if you live abroad

If you or your partner lives abroad but works in the Netherlands or receives a pension or other benefit payment from the Netherlands, you may receive healthcare benefit if you live:
in an EU or EEA country or Switzerland;
in a country with which the Netherlands has concluded a social security treaty.

If you live in another country, you can receive healthcare benefit only if you are legally obliged to take out health insurance in the Netherlands.

Re: Your comments please

I would find it hard to believe a country would stop pensions, as has been said the UK will stop you getting NHS treatment (apart from emergencytreatment)if you have been out for over 3 months, when I asked why most benefits could not be paid, but a pension could, I was told a pension is a RIGHT not something you MAY be entitled to
