Re: Buying A property

As others have said I'd rent first. We were very close to being ripped off despite being very cautious and cross checking everything. Things worked out for us in the end and we have our Tapu and Habitation Certificate but we went through a very scary 6 months or so

Re: Buying A property

Thank you so much for all of your comments.

I'm initially looking go use the property as a holiday home, so renting wouldn't be an option.

does anyone have any knowledge of this agent: koycegizpropertysales

Also I am having trouble locating the property for sale section on this site?

Thank you very much

Re: Buying A property

Looking into purchase of property in Hisaronu or Ovachik to invest some of my savings. A little confused about this earlier quote about checking for habitation certification, 'look to see √ in the multiyeti box on the present owners TAPU'
Does anyone know if this applies to purchasing Villas or Apartments in a complex?
From superficial investigation into Tripadvisor bookings this summer 2017, only about 2 months in total get booked so not much return for the bucks. Especially when the agents take 15% for each booking, Income tax rate is something like 18%, service charges around £800

Though he took the blame for the dealings ,the North Cyprus government and in particular the Girne official all took bungs ,granted planning permission to build with never going to issue tapu ,so though he was a rogue the 20 Cypriots that were on the payroll were to blame .
He could not have done it without them.
Years later he tried to make a pact to return to finish the houses and sell them back on and off .
The locals didn't like that ad the gravy train had finished and he was now naming some of them ,he then got deported
