I have to give 10 out of 10 for Denizbank Didim Altinkum ,We dealt with Ertugrul Osguneyli the guy that sits in the corner .He not only helps you out he prints most papers in English so you can see what your signing and reading .He goes through everything with you .He is a credit to the Denizbank ...Also you get a very good interest rate on your savings

Just to remind all of you: Denizbank is 100% controlled by Russian Sberbank.
I'd never trust any of the two.

We have always found him to be very helpful in all our dealings with the bank over the past eight years.

Re: Denizbank

I recently changed to Denizbank when my old bank closed down. I chose them because they offered by far the best interest rate and someone else recommended their English speaking staff at the Sanayi branch in Alanya and have to say they are excellent! Their telephone banking is also excellent. They speak brilliant English all texts and emails are in English and their internet banking also very easy and in English. So glad I chose them!

Yes we have found them all very good from start to finish ... we had some money sent last night and he dealt with it for us and today it was in our uk bank , with no problems . We would recommend them to all ... and yes the interest rate is very good . They will keep you informed by mobile or email or PM , which to me is excellent

But what were the transfer charges like, obviously I realise it depends on how much is being transferred of which I usually transfer roughly 1k each month from the UK to Turkey, Also I have heard their on-line banking is very good and easy but do they have to text you a pin number each time you want to log on?

Yes I think so. I use that system myself anyway. As far as I'm aware theres no way round it but someone else may know different.

Sberbank went pear shaped in Ukraine last month.

The bigger the interest rate the bigger the risk.

I'm currently with HSBC where we have a Key Card which once you input your pass number it creates a new on-line registration number, as long as you don't forget your Key Card number it's Ok, but as with all new systems it took me a while to get used to it especially as the UK and Turkish on-line system is 'slightly different, so easy to get the 2 muddled up at the beginning. But saves having to rely on text's.
