Regardless of the slant a particular newspaper takes, I am constantly surprised how few full time (ex-pat) residents read the Daily Sabah or the Hurriyet Daily News. They may not completely represent your own political views, but unless you have full comprehension of the Turkish language, they are the only, on the ground, written options. Besides, beyond the "news", there is regularly information in both of them that impact your day-to-day life here.
