Re: Online Turkish Newspaper in English

Shirley, I am not sure why Scotland have less reporting restriction than England. I did read this 'snippet' somewhere but forget where, and married to a Scott I can see why..
I think it has something to do with having their own parliment, money, and many other laws that are imposed on the English and not the canny Scott. Reading many of their newspapers over the years it did become obvious of the censorship of the English News.

Re: Online Turkish Newspaper in English

www.aa.com.tr
this is the Anadolu Ajansi newsagency
www.bianet.org
again another Turkish newspaper with english
www.dunyagazetesi.com.tr
www.hurriyetim.com.tr

for www.topix.net and the reuters agency, as well as google on the news pages, just type in the particular word you want these agencies to keep tabs on, and anything that pops up on world newspapers they cover about Turkey will come into your inbox. Obviously given an email address. I, for example, put the word Turkey, kurdish, Altinkum in and you get a daily diet of news from everywhere, from china to the US, on various news agencies covering Turkey.

Bear in mind, the word Turkey means different things to a computer, ie, the bird.

Otherwise that's what I do
Andy

Thanks Mushtaq. I'll give it a spin. I've not found anything yet that I'm thrilled with.

Re: Online Turkish Newspaper in English

There is a peper that covers the Mugla region, at the moment it is not available online but hopes that by June this service will be available to all....

At the moment this paper has a distribution of 5000, which I am sure will increase. the latest edition has just been released with the next due out 5th May, keep your eyes peeled for this one and pick up a copy.

When this paper becomes available online I will ensure to post the details for all members.
