PKK says halts militant activity in Turkey until elections

The outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) called on its fighters to halt activities in Turkey unless they face an attack, a news website close to the organization said Oct. 10, three months after it ended a two-year-old de facto cease-fire.

Fırat news agency reported the head of the KCK, the PKK umbrella group, as saying the decision was taken in response to calls from within and outside Turkey and that its members would avoid acts which could prevent a "fair and just election" being held on Nov. 1.

The announcement came hours after at least 30 people were killed when twin explosions hit a rally of hundreds of activists outside Ankara's main train station in a terrorist attack.

Sadly I think they'll get the blame for some events-even if it wasn't them.

Also I think they will be 'provoked' into retaliation-and then the finger will be firmly pointed at them.

Re: PKK says halts militant activity in Turkey until elections

Turkey is heavily bombing the south east of Turkey and northern Iraq border areas. Even though the PKK have declared a cease fire, and even though the preliminary investigation into yesterdays devastating bombing hasn't concluded.

AKP want to punish Kurds for turning to HDP.

It doesn't add up that PKK would bomb a peaceful protest supporting them, can only be the work of 'other' interested party's.... someone is getting very stressed & worried as world news reports say AKP won't win an overall majority in a few weeks despite all the gerrymandering!!

News clips I've been watching this morning seem to be pointing the finger firmly at Arty! - about blooming time too!

Re: PKK says halts militant activity in Turkey until elections

No, MIT will blame IS again, and still the Turkish government won't act.
If it truly is down to IS then we should all be worried - 3rd bomb attack this year and still Turkey refuses to take action against them in the same way they do the PKK.

Of course I don't believe it's IS or PKK - most likely Fuat Avni was right back in January this year when he claimed the president had OK'd several false flag bombings of large gatherings. It's RTE or Gulen in my opinion...most likely RTE though,, he just can't stand the fact the AKP lost the Kurdish support and therefore lost the last election.

Turkish air strikes on Kurdish PKK rebels as mourning continues - BBC News

According to the BBC the Turkish Air Force have pounded PKK positions a day after the Ankara bombing.
No doubt there will be more extensive reporting on this in the Turkish press.

Fuat Avni the government Whistleblower has been proved right time and again.
In this case we should all be extremely worried. According to the whistleblower the government, in fear of the election results, wants to start a civil war in order to push through an executive agenda. I guess he's not only afraid of losing power, but losing his protection. One day he might face justice for his corruption and crimes against humanity. We only have three weeks until the election.

On another note (and a slightly paranoid one at that) we saw the Çevik Kuvvet in Sigacik for the first time in 13 years. Nothing unusual you might say, except they were parked up in a big van and not doing anything in particular. We've never had any riots in Sigacik or Seferihisar but they were in full uniform, checking out the place (this was before the bombing). Anyone else notice any strange or unusual police behaviour in their neighbourhood before the bombing?

Re: PKK says halts militant activity in Turkey until elections

The ERDOGAN family seem to be setting up an exit strategy if things don't work out . His Son Bilal was allegedly in Italy securing an account of a 1 billion dollars . This will a healthy addition to their swiss bank accounts .

A question in Parliament was set by a CHP deputy about Bilal Italy trip .

.............
Main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) İstanbul deputy Eren Erdem has submitted a parliamentary question for interim Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu over allegations that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's son Bilal left Turkey for Italy armed with large sums of cash.

Introducing his question, Erdem recalled President Erdoğan's recent comments over such allegations, who had said: “He is in Italy for his doctoral studies.
What is it you say, he made off to Italy with 1 billion dollars! What kind of a lie is that? These people are ill-mannered.” Erdem then cited allegations in the Italian media that Bilal Erdoğan had fled Turkey because of corruption accusations put that went public on Dec. 17 and 25, 2013.

In his question to Davutoğlu, CHP's young deputy Erdem stated

“Is [President] Erdoğan's use of the phrase ‘1 billion dollars,' despite the fact that [Twitter whistleblower] Fuat Avni uttered [his] claims without giving any figure, a confession?” Some people have taken Erdoğan's use of a specific number -- a figure that no one has claimed Bilal fleeing with -- to mean that the president blurted out the real purpose why Bilal might have gone to Italy: namely to make off with $1 billion.
