Re: where turks can go for foreign holidays?

I actually enjoy holidaying round the UK. London is an exciting city with no end of things to do (although one weekend is enough for me). The Lake district has some fantastic scenery as does Scotland and Wales. The UK funparks are pretty good for the kids. the only downside is the weather. But then what with global warming we only ever seem to get a cold snap nowerdays rather than a fullblown white winter.
I never really thought about how difficult it is for Turks to holiday abroad. are they really that restricted ?

I think these are some places you can try!! I think they are all correct but I am sure if you went to the consulate they will be able to give you an up to date list.

My favourite on here would be Morroco lots to see and do and good temperatures at this time of year. Egypt used to be popular but I think you now need a visa.

If you want to go anywhere in Europe you will need a Schengen Visa.

Hope this helps.

How do I qualify to travel to the UK as a visitor?
You must be able to show that:

you want to visit the UK for no more than six months
you intend to leave the UK at the end of your visit, and
you have enough money to support yourself and live in the UK without working or needing any help from public funds.
Back to questions

What is a visa?
A visa is a certificate that is put into your passport or travel document by an Entry Clearance Officer at a British mission overseas. The visa gives you permission to enter the UK.

If you have a valid UK visa we will not normally refuse you entry to the UK unless your circumstances have changed, or you gave false information or did not tell us important facts when you applied for your visa.

When you arrive in the UK, an Immigration Officer may ask you questions, so take all relevant documents in your hand luggage.
Back to questions

Do I need a visa to visit the UK?
You will need a visa if you:

are a national of one of the countries listed in the Visa and Direct Airside Transit Visa (DATV) nationals page on this website
are stateless (you do not have a nationality)
hold a non-national travel document (a travel document which does not give you the nationality of the country that issued it), or
hold a passport issued by an authority that is not recognised in the UK.

hope this helps
