Re: Illegal Immigrants

Very likely pld but I've heard many LEGAL immigrants in Turkey complain similarly.
Back on thread....I would think it not TOO difficult to get out of the country, but how to get back in? Maybe change names then new passport? Think all that could be achieved in Rhodes?

Re: Illegal Immigrants

[Cross posted Harem] I've done it before but never again, things are getting tighter and I don't fancy jail time.

Re: Illegal Immigrants

It will be difficult for them to get out of the country WITHOUT paying a massive fine and a trip to the cop shop at the very least. But yes Gully you're probably right, they might not be allowed back in!

Gully

Is it the case that they just didn't bother to renew their visa's every three months ?

Re: Illegal Immigrants

Ok, the solution. First of all, renew their passports so there are no visas at all. Then, go up to Kusadasi, hire a pedallo and pedal over to that Greek island which is very close, (can't remember the name of it) dump the pedalloes on the beach, and catch a ferry back. Buy their new £10 visa and Bob's your uncle. Take it from there. Immediately put in for a residence permit.

Or get Turkish Mafia who live and work legally in the UK (Double Standards) to assist you.

That would be Samos island Harem. Still a bit far for a pedalo but they could try to hitch a lift on one of the boats taking the other illegal immigrants to europe

Re: Illegal Immigrants

Oh well, Alison, that's the answer. Perhaps Gully would put it to them - we could all take a share in the fee!!

Re: Illegal Immigrants

Reading the article in Fethiye Times on visa renewal trips, it does not look like there is any check on outgoing day trippers to Kas.
