Re: visa renew
Hiya,
Yes you can go to Aydin and get your visa renewed. It wil cost the same as if you were applying for a new one too and its the same procedure all over again (from the Polis Station, to the Malliye and back again!).
Have got the updated cost for this year somewhere, Ill dig em out and post em :-)

Re: visa renew
If it's a tourist visa you want to renew, then I think you will have to leave Turkey and come back in again.

Re: visa renew
I thought if you had a residence visa you had to get a residence permit as soon as possible?

Re: visa renew
Oh, when we decided to move over here we did everyting by the book. More fool us! We went to the Turkish consulate in London and applied for a Residence Visa. Cost us £75. Our passports came back with the required visa - and a typewritten slip which said that we should apply for our Residence Permit as soon as possible and definitely within one month!! What a waste of £75, especially as our last £10 tourist visa wouldn't have expired!!

Re: visa renew
Ah yes, that old scam!! They really should sort that out shouldnt they, I mean what hope have the Turks ever got of not being suspected of ripping people off all the time when it starts in the UK before people ever put a foot on this soil!!

Re: visa renew
The resident visa its no problem to get.The name in Turkish is "IKAMET".U go to the policestation in Aydin, take with u this:
*4 passphotos
*Passport
*A paper from Bank, that says u have 200 Euro for each months u aply for.
*Adress of where u will stay in Turkey.
U will get a paper with differents questions on,,,,,like why u want to apply, how many times u have been in Turkey e.t.c........ U have to go somewhere(dont remember the name on the office) to pay a fee. Then u have to wait until they call and tell u the Ikamet has arrived from Ankara. For me it took only 8 days, without any problems at all.But i have heard it can take some more days before u get it.I have it for 2 years,so i can come and go much as i want. Here is the new prices for it:
--6 Months=255,60 ytl
--1 Year =530,70 ytl
--2 Years =1002 ytl
--5 Years =2417 ytl
