Lets be fair - they DO choose to live in Turkey - its not compulsory !!

Well said council tax in UK 4 years ago was well over a £1000 a year not paying anything like that for house tax here.
People moan about Uk and people living illegally thats what`s happening here.
We are paying for these people just like the UK when people dont pay tax or claim illegally we all get very annoyed so what`s the difference.

Re: no more repeat 3 month visas?
I know a couple of folk who have been living in Turkey on tourist visas for the last 15 years, well one of them never even bothers to renew his in fact he hasnt for 10 years or more, he doesnt have a passport. A friend who needed to return to England a few years ago after overstaying for 6 years, was allowed out with a fine of 150.00 pds. And shes back and her tourist visa has run out and just does not seem to care. I have to say that the gendarme have been turning a blind eye to these people for years, and are well aware of them.

Re: no more repeat 3 month visas?
I reckon they are more likely to increase the charge or possibly reduce the 90 day period

Re: no more repeat 3 month visas?
More likely to reduce period than increase caharge as they need tourist money and if charge was to much not many would come.
If I was them I would reduce the charge and period. Say £5 per 30 days.

Re: no more repeat 3 month visas?
has anyone thought the turkish govt may just make repeatable visas harder for example leave it at 3months but not allowed back in for a week or 2 or even a month, or only allowing 2 a year for example, you are all assuming it will be the same back to back visa as now, any thoughts??

"...i must admit i don't like the way the turkish government seem to make it very difficult and very expensive for any foreigner to do just about anything ,and do sometimes wonder if we havn't made a mistake in buying out there ..."
Couldn't have put it better.

Re: no more repeat 3 month visas?
There is a new law now.
If you over stay your visa, you can not come back into Turkey for the amount of time you overstayed.
This rule came into effect a couple of weeks ago.
This was the old rule for B class countries but now includes A class countries (OECD, EU etc)
